Established in 2008 and headquartered in Singapore, Double Helix Tracking Technologies Pte Ltd (DoubleHelix) develops and bring to market innovative solutions to verify the legality and quality of wood products traded across the world.
We use a combination of scientific testing, on-site assessments and document checks to identify and
mitigate risk of unknown timber entering the supply chain which impacts legality and/or product quality.
In so doing, we bring an unprecedented level of transparency to global timber supply chains, building trust and assurance between buyers and sellers of wood products.
We also work with partners including governments, foundations and scientific centres of excellence to
further common goals of a legal and sustainable timber trade.
In Myanmar, DoubleHelix has been operating independently since 2012. More recently the company has
become a registered Certification Body with the Myanmar Forest Certification Committee (MFCC) and
the Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), contributing experience and expertise in the
development of a national timber legality certification system.
Elsewhere, the company also audits against the CertiSource Standard for Verified Legal Timber in
Indonesia (www.certisource.org). In this context DoubleHelix is accredited to ISO/IEC 17065:2012
Conformity assessment --- Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services, and our
business is governed by comprehensive in-house Standard Operating Procedures and Policies. These
systems are regularly audited by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (www.jasanz.org/register). Whilst our accreditation is limited to Indonesia operations, we seek to establish the same level of process and quality management across the while business, including Myanmar.
