Position: Cashier
Location: Country Office, Yangon
Assignment Type: Fixed term contract 3 years

Position Summary: The Cashier is based in Country Office to provide support at finance department in the development and humanitarian programs. He /she is accountable for the day to day cash/bank transaction of the Country Office. This also include support in ensuring funds are available on time in the Program Unit Offices.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Managing and securing of cash including the replenishment form the Country office. Ensure it is keep in safe and secured at all times. - Make various payments of expenditures and advances at the Country Office as per the authorization and approval of relevant people and in accordance with Plan’s financial guide lines and requirements. – Responsible for all the payments to contractors, suppliers, utilities and etc. – Maintain cash control and daily cash transaction recording in a cashbook (both hardcopy and softcopy) – Keep the advance books and cash journal (safe box and cash box books – Check cash balances daily and report any discrepancies report any discrepancies to the Country Accountant and Finance Manager. – Interact with the banks on withdraw ,transfer of fund( MFTB, KBZ) – Perform cash reconciliation on a weekly and monthly basis in coordination with Country Accountant and Finance Manager – Perform bank reconciliation on monthly basis. – Maintain proper filing systems of all cash payment documents and ensure accounting records are kept updated – Perform other related duties as required as Cashier. – Be responsible on the Cashier function in SAP. 9
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3years of proven experience in accounting/bookkeeping. – Knowledge and understanding humanitarian operating context. – Ability to maintain high level of accuracy in preparing financial reports – Knowledge of managing cash/bank accounts – Citizen of Myanmar – Good English language skills, both oral and written – Able to travel if needed and able to work independently and seek help when necessary. – Team building skills – Bookkeeping skills – Analytical skills – Decision making skills – Effective verbal and listening communication skills – Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
