Myanmar B2B Management Magazine

Myanmar B2B was founded in 2012 by Hub Myanmar Company Limited to serve the Myanmar business community by providing a forum where they are able to share their success stories, expand their network, and educate the next generation of business leaders.

We became aware that Myanmar's business leaders needed a platform to convey their stories in order to inspire the next generation of homegrown entrepreneurs. This prompted us to launch Myanmar's first magazine devoted to local business. Since then, we've covered hundreds of inspiring stories of remarkable entrepreneurs who have committed their lives to developing business potentials and providing opportunities for millions of others.

Executive Editor

Responsible for managing the editorial content, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all materials produced


Main Tasks

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and workflow of the Newsroom
  • Establish and maintain editorial standards for all content produced
  • Monitor Newsroom performance and workflow and make adjustments as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external sources such as media outlets, business and other contacts
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure content meets corporate objects and goals


Specific Duties

  • Supervise staff members from the Newsroom, including assigning related tasks, delegating responsibilities needed, and monitoring their performance.
  • Establish deadlines and ensure all tasks are completed on time
  • Monitor industry trends and breaking news and evaluate competitive news coverage
  • Establish and enforce editorial standards, guidelines, and ethics
  • Ensure the newsroom is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Take charge of all contents and its’ content journey map, including but not limited to planning and scheduling required interviews, content collection, content writing, content editing, asking for approvals from BOD for all contents before publishing, distribution, evaluating readers’ responses and making changes for improvement.
  • Develop and implement content guidelines to ensure consistency of material
  • Ensure that all written contents are unbiased and no misleading or/and misinterpretations or/and misunderstandings can be formed.
  • Take responsibility and held accountable on any impact caused due to any written content from the Newsroom
  • Establish procedures for evaluating content for accuracy, clarity, spell check, grammatical error and completeness
  • Establish metrics and benchmarks for tracking performance and workflow
  • Track the performance of the team in terms of their output, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Respond to changes in the external environment and make adjustments to the workflow accordingly
  • Analyze data and feedback from readers and determine areas for improvement in the newsroom as needed
  • Establish and maintain contacts with media outlets, businesses, and others useful sources
  • Create an informational database for contacts
  • Engage in conversations with these contacts regularly to build relationship
  • Develop stories and pitch to contacts for content, including but not limited to location scouting
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve any content-related issues, including but not limited to budgeting and reporting to
  • Finances, for content related expenses.
  • Establish clear lines of communication with other departments, not to delay or postpone work timeline


  • Bachelor's Degree in Burmese, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of professional editorial experience (online magazine/journal experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of Business terminologies
  • Ability to translate articles from English to Burmese
  • Acquire business networks of related field
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and writing skills
  • Strong grasp of Burmese grammar, punctuation, and composition
  • Evident familiarity with the principles of layout and design
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A keen eye for detail along with critical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive
  • Must have creativity and problem solving skills
