As a member of the Myanmar Investments Limited (“MIL”) private equity investment team based in Yangon you will be responsible for evaluating, structuring, closing and monitoring investments. 

1. Conduct preliminary assessment and evaluation of investment opportunities.
2. Conduct macro-economic and sector research as part of the investment process.
3. Track and keep the investment team updated on Myanmar government legislation relevant to MIL and its activities.
4. Assist in the preparation of investment reports.
5. Assist in the negotiations and documentation of agreements.
6. Assist in the preparation of investment proposals to the Investment Committee.
7. Assist in the creation and evaluation of financial models on investment targets.
8. Assist in due diligence exercises on investment targets.
9. Assist in the monitoring and management of investee companies.
10. Assist in the maintenance of a research and information database.
11. Other duties as assigned.

This position will report to the Investment Director.

1. Undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in business or financial field.
2. Fluent in spoken and written Burmese and English.
3. Proficient in the use of IT and office tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
4. Keen business acumen and familiarity with the Myanmar economy/market.
5. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
6. Familiarity with Burmese FRS and IFRS would be desirable.
7. Prior investment knowledge would be an advantage but not mandatory.
